We Are Under Construction!
Maria Montessori believed in the importance of a "prepared and inviting environment" in which children can best learn. Thanks to the hard work and amazing generosity of past and current MHS families and our many friends, this past August, we broke ground on our new building! Our faculty has used a lot of ingenuity along the way, making the most of the space we have and now, the building project has become a reality! Our goal is to help our students focus on their learning in surroundings that work with as much purpose as they do.
Our new building will provide:
- Comfortably-sized, modern, and well-lighted classrooms fully equipped with state-of-the-art equipment and technology
- Flexible space - big rooms that can open onto to each other for large meetings and performance events
- A dedicated and well-equipped space for science
- A fully-equipped, new art studio
- A large music room with lots of storage for instruments
- Independent access to all classrooms
- Well-sited, outdoor terraced seating and space for performances and whole-school assemblies
- Advanced audiovisual technology to enhance the teaching experience
- Beautifully-designed space from an award-winning architect
