Book Fest 2023
Get ready for the 2023 Marin Horizon Book Fest! From Wednesday, March 15th, through Friday, March 24th, we will be celebrating all things reading. Sign up here to volunteer to help with our event activities!
This will include:
- Poetry Slams to kick things off on March 15th
- A read-a-thon for students (and parents, teachers, and staff!)
- Staff/buddy mystery readers in class
- A book swap (so start cleaning off those bookshelves)
- Fundraising through Book Passage!
What can you do to prepare?
- Encourage your child to share a poem for the Poetry Slam
- Clean out your kids’ bookshelves to bring in for the book swap on Monday, March 13th, and Tuesday, March 14th
- Make your book purchase list! Book Passage is donating money to the school on all sales during the Book Fest. In stores and online. Just mention Marin Horizon!
Let’s get the kids excited about the read-a-thon! With a goal of reading at least 20 minutes per day outside of school, the kids will receive a charm to put on a necklace they’ll receive on the first day of Book Fair. And a donut party for all at the end when the school-wide goal is achieved!
