Thursday, May 25th, 4:00 p.m. Friday, May 26th, 6:30 p.m. Marin Horizon Main Campus
Our 1960s Peace and Love version of Shakespeare’s A Midsummer Night's Dream, is one of his most beloved comedies, entwining several characters around the theme of Love. Four Athenians run away to the forest only to have Puck the famous trickster fairy accidentally make both of the boys fall in love with the same girl. Chaos and hilarity ensue as the four run through the forest pursuing each other, while Puck also helps his master King of the Fairies, play a trick on the fairy queen and have her fall in love with a man transformed into a Donkey! In the end, Puck and the Fairy King decide to reverse the magic on everyone, and help all the couples to end up happy and in love. All this happens whilst a bunch of ridiculous actors in a troupe prepare to perform a classic love play for a wedding, only to show that they are amateurs and completely overdramatic, hilarious actors. In the end Love rules all!
