The Board of Trustees governs Marin Horizon School and is composed of parents, representatives from the community, faculty representatives and the Head of School. Its responsibilities include defining the school mission and philosophy, forming school policy, hiring the Head of School and guaranteeing the financial stability of the school. Board committees include Development, Diversity, Finance, Strategic Planning, Site, Horizon Community School, and Committee on Trustees.
All board and committee members volunteer their time and expertise. It is through their dedication and hard work that Marin Horizon School is able to maintain its high educational standards. Interested parents are strongly encouraged to notify board members or the Head of School of their interest and availability to serve in support of the board or any of its committees.
In the spirit of improving our community-wide communications, keeping everyone informed and welcoming input, the Board of Trustees publishes the OnBoard newsletter. The purpose of this communication is to share updates from our regular board meetings, and encourage people in our community to bring their ideas forward.
