Enrichment Classes

The world is a huge place with hundreds of cultural differences; many of which we have yet to explore. Students will learn background pieces of many people and countries by exploring various arts, languages, cuisines, music, and history.

Whether we are practicing how to use chopsticks, playing awesome cultural enrichment games, cheffin' up yummy foods from different nations, or even arts and crafting "ancient" relics, students will experience the magnitude of culture and how it shapes the world we live in today.

¡Hola, amigos! In this playful introduction to Spanish, children will explore the language through songs, movement, games, and hands-on activities. Each week, students will build their Spanish vocabulary while learning about colors, numbers, animals, greetings, and everyday expressions—all in an engaging, age-appropriate way.

NEW! Our Crazy 8 Math Club for Kindergarten through Grade 3 is a unique, high energy enrichment class designed for children of all math abilities. This recreational and social experience helps children discover that math is all around them, building confidence and curiosity through hands-on exploration and teamwork. Through engaging activities like Glow in the Dark Geometry, Beach Ball Party, Bouncy Dice Explosion, Crazy 8s Race, Pixel Palooza, Piece of Cake, Daring Darts, Funny Money, and even Spy Training, children experience math as active, playful, and meaningful. Our goal is to help children enjoy math just as much as, or even more than, sports, music, and their other favorite extracurricular activities.

Students will explore and recreate popular cuisines from around the world. We'll travel via our tastebuds to a different country every week by cooking yummy dishes as we go. From Italy to Brazil, a culinary adventure awaits your aspiring chef!

The Marin Dojo’s Martial Arts Enrichment Program introduces children ages 3 to 5 to the foundations of martial arts in a fun, structured, and age-appropriate environment. Through fun engaging activities, students build focus, coordination, listening skills, and confidence—all while learning the importance of respect and teamwork.

Each class includes dynamic movement, basic martial arts techniques, and games designed to improve balance, motor skills, and self-control. Our program is led by a passionate and experienced instructor with over 10 years of martial arts training and a 2nd Degree Black Belt.

Known for their patient and energetic teaching style, they specialize in working with young children—making every class safe, fun, and empowering!

This program is a great way to support early childhood development while helping children stay active and build healthy habits that last a lifetime.

This class will allow students to complete their homework and receive additional support, when needed, while developing organization and time management skills. Our goal is to relieve some of the stress over homework for both students and parents and allow kids to be productive after a long day.

NEW! Clay Creations is a hands-on class designed especially for curious kids who love to use their imagination to create! Through guided modeling clay projects, children build fine motor strength, early engineering skills, and learn to think creatively all while having messy, joyful fun. Each week introduces a new craft made with clay (magnets, sculptures, trinket dishes, and more), helping young artists grow their skills through guided crafts.

In Happy Kids Music In Me classes, we bring a variety of child sized rhythm instruments for students to “find the beat” with, including tambourines, maracas, rhythm sticks, bells, shakers, cymbals, drums and xylophones! Children will learn to count music, including note duration, and to find the music inside of them as they sing, dance, and develop their musical minds. 🎶🎶

Bring back our instructor Miles, our K-1 students will explore musical concepts, including rhythm and meter, tempo, dynamics, pitch, form, and musical patterns through song, movement and playing rhythmic instruments. We bring a variety of child sized instruments for students to “find the beat” with, including tambourines, maracas, rhythm sticks, bells, shakers, cymbals, drums and xylophones! Mr. Miles is an exceptional instructor who plays the piano and electronic drums and teaches a variety of specialty children’s classes for Happy Kids. Over the past year he has been studying group improvisational singing in workshops internationally. We hope your children will join Mr. Miles for a joyful musical experience! Our kind and experienced Happy Kids instructors strive to help children find the music inside of them as they sing, dance, and develop their musical minds.

MCSFC Enrichment Soccer Classes offer kids a fun and active way to stay moving while connecting with friends in a positive group setting. NEW! Come take a deep breath and feel the Earth under your feet as you stretch up tall like a humongous Oak Tree! In JAMaROO Kids Yoga, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey, we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness, and social emotional learning.

At JAMaROO Kids all of our music, dance, and yoga curriculum is developed to support and foster all five key areas of development: Cognitive, Speech & Language, Gross Motor Development, Fine Motor Development, Social and Emotional.

NEW! Unlock the wonders of the animal kingdom through this engaging STEM-based weekly series designed for our youngest scientists!

Primary students will explore fascinating animals while learning foundational science concepts such as habitats, body structures, and how animals move, survive, and interact with their environment. Through hands-on activities like creating whale blow art while learning how whales breathe, building lion mane models to explore animal features, and crafting butterfly life cycles, students will observe, create, and discover like real scientists.

Each session blends creative exploration with early scientific thinking, helping children develop curiosity, observation skills, and a love for science in a fun, age-appropriate way. This exciting adventure transforms animal exploration into meaningful STEM learning and discovery.

In this hand building clay sculpture class we'll learn to wedge our clay to prepare it for sculpture, then create projects such as pinch pots, fancy coil pots, and slab boxes with a lids. All of our projects will be fired, then colorfully glazed, and fired for a second time in our brand new Skutt kiln!

NEW! Globe Games is a fast-paced, laughter-filled, game show-style class where middle schoolers travel the globe without leaving the classroom! Each week, students "visit" a new country through exciting trivia battles, outrageous physical challenges, team competitions, and hands-on cultural fun. This class was especially designed by Poppy for our middle school students by popular demand!

Love to run or just want to get outside with friends after a long day? The Marin Horizon Running Club (MHRC) is the place for you.

The MHRC is led by Phoebe and Derek, with special guest appearances by Marin Horizon faculty and staff, and will meet Thursday afternoons after school. Open to students in grades 5–8, this club offers a fun way to build endurance and explore the many world-class trails that Marin has to offer. Length of runs will vary, but typical runs will be between 2 and 4 miles. All MHRC members will receive custom MHRC swag, snacks, transportation to/from trails, and other surprises along the way. Space is limited, so don’t wait to sign up!
