JaMaRoo Kids - Music & Yoga (Primary)
In Yoga class, children go on a yoga adventure using their imaginations and the art of storytelling to help navigate through yoga poses. Our destinations include hiking in the Mountains, diving in the Great Barrier Reef, going on a Safari in Africa, or sledding in the North Pole. On our journey we play yoga games, sing yoga songs, and practice breathing techniques. Our goal is to give young children a developmentally appropriate way to explore yoga poses, mindfulness and social-emotional learning.
In Music class, we'll sing traditional songs and also sing original JAMaROO Kids songs created by our own team. Many songs will focus on the alphabet, building vocabulary, and basic math skills. We will begin to explore basic music theory by introducing children to fun characters such as Octave the Octopus! Each month our curriculum will change to ensure children stay excited about class and are always learning something new while providing them with enough repetition to master new skills and vocabulary.
