Welcome from Development

Welcome to the Development Office

Through community building events and fundraising efforts, we support Marin Horizon’s mission of challenging students to be thoughtful, curious, and life-long learners, who make a difference in the world. We encourage you, as parents and guardians, to participate in various volunteer and giving programs in ways that are meaningful for your family.

Each year, the Horizon Fund is the school’s fundraising priority. Because tuition only covers part of the cost of the exceptional education offered at Marin Horizon School, we rely on our community to help bridge the difference between tuition income and the true cost of educating each student. Gifts to the Horizon Fund support the current year’s operating budget and go to work immediately in support of competitive teacher salaries and retirement funds, technology upgrades, field trips, Outdoor Education, art, music, drama, athletics, tuition assistance, and more.
Typically, the Horizon Fund launches in October, with all pledges due by December 31. All gifts, no matter the size, are important and make a difference; our primary goal is 100% Trustee, current parent and faculty/staff participation.

Our newly renamed Community Association hosts our second major fundraiser of the year, the Annual Art Auction, always held in spring. All proceeds raised through the silent and live auctions allow the Community Association to make a meaningful gift back to Marin Horizon in support of our students, teachers, and programs. The Fund-a-Need at this event allows us to raise funds for tuition assistance and/or a special programmatic need that impacts every student.

Students are the center of our Marin Horizon community. When you make a gift to Marin Horizon School, you support each child through our teachers, our programs and so much more. We are so grateful for your commitment to our kids and our special community. Thank you for considering a gift to Marin Horizon this year. If you have any questions or would like more information on giving opportunities, please feel free to email me.

With gratitude,
