A Message from the Board of Trustees: The Next Chapter for Marin Horizon School

ree

Marin Horizon School is preparing for its next chapter. The Board of Trustees and Head of School Bill Perrine have agreed that December 31, 2025 is the right time for a leadership transition. In the coming months, we look forward to celebrating his accomplishments and wishing him all the best in his future endeavors.

The Board is grateful for Bill’s nearly eight years of service and many contributions to the school. He brought the Library Project and Outdoor Project to life, expanded the curriculum, strengthened Outdoor Education, guided the school through a successful CAIS accreditation, and helped launch new experiences, like the 7th-8th grade travel program.

This leadership transition reflects the evolving nature of a thriving school community, one that continually reflects, renews, and reimagines itself in service of its students. Our shared vision and mission remains unwavering: to ground students in a deep sense of belonging so they become enthusiastic learners, develop confident voices, and emerge as beacons of kindness in their communities.

Introducing Interim Head of School Andy Davies

We’re fortunate to announce that Andy Davies, a respected, experienced educator and former Head of School at The Healdsburg School, will be officially stepping into the Interim Head of School role on January 1, 2026.

Andy will work closely with the existing experienced leadership team to ensure that daily operations, academics, and community programs continue without interruption. Together, they will maintain the strong foundation already in place while supporting the school’s forward momentum.

Search for Next Head of School

The Board will begin the process of selecting the next Head of School in the months ahead. We plan to conduct a comprehensive search, drawing from a national and international pool of candidates, with a goal of identifying our next leader during the 2026-27 school year.

We look forward to the future, full of gratitude for where we’ve been and optimism for what lies ahead.
