Beyond the School Day

Summer Camp

Welcome to Marin Horizon Summer Camp!

Every week has a different theme. In previous years, themes have included Community, Art, Kitchen Chemistry, Imagination, Science and Engineering, Music Makers, and Outdoor Ed. Many of our themes include engaging STEAM-themed projects (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, Math) for even our youngest campers.
With a 12:1 camper to counselor ratio, we offer small group supervision at all times and a policy of inclusion to ensure all campers receive the attention they deserve. Most of our counselors are full-time teachers at Marin Horizon during the school year.

We maintain strict protocols throughout the school year that will continue to be in effect over the summer. All of our teachers have received training on classroom cleaning and disinfecting procedures and we utilize outdoor classroom spaces often.

What will students do at KinderCamp?

Will this camp replace an additional year of primary?
No, this camp is designed to ease the transition to kindergarten and will not be focused on academic remediation but rather on easing students and parents into the start of Kindergarten. All rising kindergarteners at Marin Horizon are invited and encouraged to participate!

Can I sign up for just one week?
Yes, while we recommend rising Kindergartners participate in both weeks, we recognize that this may not work for all families’ plans.
